Being a human is tough work.

Struggle and pain are important elements of growing older and wiser, but there are pivotal moments that require great courage and hope as you move through them. Seeking support from a licensed therapist can help you feel more connected to your authentic self and more optimistic about the future.

I’m glad you’re here.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker my role is to encourage, support and help you reflect on what allows you to be your wisest and strongest self. That means becoming more comfortable with who you are and confident in the choices you are making. I believe each human has a core essence that allows us to be capable, curious and loving. When we stumble or struggle we may disconnect from our strong core self. My work is to support clients so they discover and believe in their intrinsic worth. I also strive to help clients enact plans to thrive in the world by cultivating approaches and rhythms that foster their emotional health. I believe deeply in the power of healthy relationships - with one’s self and with others.

My ultimate goal is to have clients feel secure and proud of themselves, their work and their way of living in the world. I encourage individuals to look at patterns of behavior in their lives that serve and do not serve them – and to understand that the past informs, but does not define their future. We work together so you can feel free to be your genuine, authentic self, without fear or judgment, and without your inner critic saying, “I should be...”  During our work together we will investigate life's crossroads and craft pathways of hope, growth, and unwavering self-belief. You will gain confidence to take your own individual path and embrace your unique journey.

Clients may seek my support at the pinch points in life, whether at times of great change or upheaval. This could be when preparing for college, whirling through the ups and downs of the teen years, starting a new job, becoming a parent, moving to a new city, navigating a breakup, grieving the death of a loved one, facing a new diagnosis, or many other moments we may find ourselves in. As a licensed clinician, I utilize evidence based treatment to help you find solid ground.  When I work with young adults, teens and children, my therapeutic approach is strengths-based, which means listening deeply, then helping the client connect with and value their authentic self. During our work together, we will explore who you are and who you want to be, developing insights, practicing coping skills and establishing patterns that are positive and productive. When you are able to find self compassion, become unstuck from negative thought cycles, and honor yourself, you can move through the world with a greater sense of comfort and ease.
