About Me
I’ve always been drawn to how others feel, think and behave. I chose to explore human development throughout my education so I could understand the internal worlds of individuals and learn how to help others feel strong and balanced. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Human Ecology from the University of Wisconsin at Madison (2000) and my Master’s in Social Work (M.S.W.) from the University of Chicago (2005). Throughout my career, I have worked in a range of educational institutions, from pre-K to University, from Zimbabwe to Chicago, and am now based in Seattle.
As a school counselor and social worker, I have been fortunate to work with families across many developmental milestones and moments. My career has been dedicated to supporting children, parents and adults navigating self-discovery amidst challenges involving emotional health concerns, relationship exploration, and the quest for social acceptance. I have experience working with individuals with anxiety, depression, body image and eating disorders, ADHD, family system transitions, relationship challenges, grief and loss, gender exploration and more. In addition to being a private therapist, I am affiliated with The Bush School in Seattle, where I am a member of the counseling staff. As a result of my extensive experience working in educational settings, I also have a genuine commitment to helping professionals in the educational field address challenges (burnout, boundary setting, etc.) in their work environments.
My skills and professional experience, including training in multiple therapeutic modalities position me to help lead conversations of change with clients. I am particularly adept at working with clients using Internal Family Systems (IFS), narrative therapy, play therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and strengths-based work focused on the mindbody connection.
